Assassinations, Regime Changes, Escapes, Fleeing Haiti in Haitian History

 What goes around, goes around

Today's events reminds me of the "Jeremie Vespers" and  the team of "Jeune Haiti" who came from New York to overthrow Duvalier...

According to sources,

The Jérémie Vespers refer to a massacre that took place in August, September and October 1964 in the town of Jeremie, Haiti (formerly an "English colony, more or less.)  It took place after a group of 13 young Haitians calling themselves  Jeune Haiti, (Young Haiti ) landed on August 6, 1964 in Haiti, at Petite-Rivière-de-Dame-Marie, to overthrow the regime of Papa Doc Duvalier.  It failed. But...

Isaiah 58: How do we share?

"Is not this the fast I have chosen: to unlock the shackles of injustice...Surely it is to share your bread with the hungry..."
[From Isaiah 58]
